Workshops (online & in-person)
Art & well-being workshops
Each workshop series includes 4 sessions that run weekly for 2 hours over the course of 4 consecutive weeks (8 hours total). This allows us to dive deeper without rushing the creative process while building a sense of community with each other. I will provide invitations and guidance to help you connect with your creativity and time in session to explore and experiment with the theme at hand. A list of simple art materials will be given prior to our first meeting.

Finding your creative voice: this is a great place to start if you are feeling a bit unsure or “rusty” when it comes to expressing yourself creatively. We will explore practical ways for unleashing our creativity and developing our own unique style. We will engage in fun art exercises and experiment with color, texture, mark-making and collage.

Softening the inner critic: one of the biggest obstacles that get in the way of creativity and pursuing our ideas is our own critical voice. Here, we will learn to recognize the different, loud and subtle forms it can take and explore why it’s there. The answer may surprise you. We will work with our inner critic in a creative way to help unblock what is holding us back and reach a place of greater freedom in our art-making.

Connecting with your heart: when we follow our intuition and we trust the process, we often discover “flow”. This mixed media workshop will make room for our heart to guide us in our art-making, letting the mind take a backseat to the decision-making. We will discover the four essential parts of the heart, the 4 pathways within ourselves and how they lead to wholeness.

Creating nature healing cards: using collage and our experiences in nature as inspiration, you will be invited to design your own personal healing deck of cards. Different ways of tapping into your inner wisdom will be offered so you can create a unique tool that accompanies you when you seek guidance or need a gentle reminder of what is most important to you.

when it's difficult to articulate what we feel or what we're going through, incorporating modalities such as eco-art therapy can help us access inner wisdom & strengths by first regulating our nervous system and expanding our capacity for safe exploration, expression and integration through our senses. Here, you will have the opportunity to gently engage in the creative process and connect with nature in a meaningful way, which will enrich your relationship with your self, your space and with others.

with over 20 years of experience providing mental health counselling, I specialize in assisting individuals who are experiencing grief/loss, anxiety/stress, burnout and life transitions. I also enjoy teaching skills and strategies around self-compassion, mindfulness and self-care.
